Ne tirez pas sur les messagers
ou le culte du néant dans une dictature crasse
Toute critique d’Eto’o n’est pas empreinte de haine ou de jalousie (???) comme se plaisent à dépeindre ses admirateurs fanatisés au Cameroun. Pas plus d’ailleurs il incarnerait le seul modèle de réussite sociale ou économique envié et convoité par l’ensemble des Camerounais.
Pour tout vous dire, ceux d’entre nous évoluant sous d’autres cieux et n’aspirant absolument à rien au Cameroun, autre que le bien-être de ceux des nôtres qui y vivent, ne pouvons en aucune manière jalouser ni haïr un monsieur qui ne représente rien dans nos existences respectives.
Il faut donc arrêter avec ces raisonnements réducteurs et imbéciles dès qu’on a le malheur de ne pas approuver le comportement mégalomaniaque et véritablement destructeur d’une personnalité ou célébrité camerounaise.

Parce qu’il s’agit ici d’une conception pour le moins très étriquée de la « haine » et de la « réussite » systématiquement associée dans le contexte messianique Camerounais à un personnage qui ne créé absolument rien en termes de richesses collectives, de développement du pays, et encore moins d’avancées scientifiques.
On en viendrait à penser que dans ce pays qui a produit certaines des grandes sommités du continent exerçant dans les plus grands centres de recherche de la planète, dont un des meilleurs mathématiciens, Samuel Eto’o incarne le seul modèle de « réussite ». Quelle réussite ? Pour quel apport à l’immensité de la société camerounaise, africaine, mondiale ??? À notre connaissance AUCUNE.
Et pourquoi diantre devrions-nous le haïr ???…
Certains raisonnements et propos mériteraient d’être mesurés, pour préserver l’indispensable sens de l’écoute entre ressortissants du Cameroun.
Car ce qui est important ici, c’est d’apprendre à séparer les choses et donc à ne pas tirer sur les messagers de manière aussi systématique. En effet, bien d’autres choses sont en jeu à travers la figure de M. Eto’o. Pour les Camerounais ordinaires soucieux des droits de l’homme, il est triste qu’un homme, une véritable superstar mondiale du football, qui aurait pu être un véritable modèle pour de nombreux Camerounais, ait été aussi facilement absorbé dans le marigot de notre politique camerounaise corrompue à l’extrême et moralement en faillite.
Cela dit, ces idées de haine et de jalousie ne sont pas fabriquées par nous, mais constituent le modus opérandi de la dictature de Yaoundé qui opère dans un messianisme théologique négatif où les victimes de la dictature se voient attribuer de facto des travers de haine, d’aigreur et de jalousie. Réduire ainsi l’effet légitime de la déception à la haine et à la jalousie est très dangereux, car cela détourne l’attention des problèmes de fond que sont la dictature et les abus de pouvoir d’un régime dont M. Eto’o est devenu un complice volontaire et dans le processus, a ruiné un grand héritage.
Cela dit, sa mauvaise fortune actuelle ne fait que mettre en évidence le caractère pervers de cette dictature crasse que nous n’avons pas cessé de caractériser.

Or the cult of the void in a crass dictatorship
Any criticism of Eto’o is not tinged with hatred or jealousy (???) as his fanatic admirers in Cameroon like to portray. Nor would he embody the only model of social or economic success envied and coveted by all Cameroonians.
To tell you the truth, those of us evolving in other lands and aspiring absolutely nothing in Cameroon, other than the well-being of those of us who live there, cannot in any way envy or hate a gentleman who represents nothing in our respective lives.
We must therefore stop with this reductive and imbecile reasoning as soon as we have the misfortune of not approving the megalomaniacal and truly destructive behavior of a Cameroonian personality or celebrity.
Stop with this grotesque idiocy!!!
Because this is a very narrow conception, to say the least, of « hatred » and « success » systematically associated in the Cameroonian messianic context with a character who creates absolutely nothing in terms of collective wealth, development of the country, and even less scientific progress.
We would come to think that in this country which has produced some of the continent’s great luminaries working in the largest research centers on the planet, including one of the best mathematicians, Samuel Eto’o embodies the only model of « success ». What success? For what contribution to the immensity of Cameroonian, African and global society??? To my knowledge NONE.
And why on earth should we hate him???…Certain reasoning and comments deserve to be measured, to preserve the essential sense of listening between nationals of Cameroon.
But what is important here is to learn to separate things and therefore not to shoot at the messengers in such a systematic way. Indeed, many other things are at stake through the figure of Mr. Eto’o. Indeed, for ordinary Cameroonians concerned about human rights, it is sad that a man, a true global football superstar, who therefore could have been a true role model for many Cameroonians, was so easily absorbed into the swamp of our Cameroonian politics corrupted to the core and morally bankrupt.
That said, these ideas of hatred and jealousy are not manufactured by us, but are the modus operandi of the dictatorship of Yaoundé which operates in a negative theological messianism where the victims of the dictatorship are de facto attributed effects of hatred and of desire. Reducing the legitimate effect of disappointment to hatred and jealousy is very dangerous, because it distracts attention from the real problems which are the dictatorship and the abuse of power of the regime of which Mr. Eto’o has become a willing accomplice and in the process, ruined a great legacy. and his current bad fortune only highlights the perverse nature of this regime that we have long cataloged
